Collected Personal Data
To provide our competitive gaming programs, STEM camps, and league operations, we collect the following categories of information:
Parent/Guardian Information: Full name, email address, phone number, billing address, and payment information (processed securely via our third-party payment gateways).
Participant (Youth) Information: Player first and last name, age/date of birth, jersey size, and in-game usernames (gamertags) necessary for league placement and tournament tracking.
Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and website usage data collected via cookies to optimize your experience on our website.
Purpose of collecting data
We collect and process this data for the following specific purposes:
Service Delivery: To register participants in esports leagues, STEM cohorts, and summer camps, manage team rosters, and track player statistics.
Communication: To send important league updates, schedule changes, upcoming program announcements, and respond directly to customer inquiries.
Billing & Administration: To securely process payments, manage memberships, and maintain accurate business records in compliance with Better Business Bureau (BBB) and legal standards.
Safety & Security: To ensure a secure environment for our youth players, both online in our digital arenas and during in-person community events.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) Compliance
We are fully committed to protecting the privacy of young players. Our website and digital services are intended for a mixed audience of parents, guardians, and youth participants. We comply strictly with COPPA regulations when handling information from children under the age of 13.
A. Verifiable Parental Consent
We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under the age of 13 without first obtaining verifiable parental or guardian consent.
Registration Process: Account creation, tournament registration, and fee payments must be completed exclusively by a parent or legal guardian.
Direct Notice: At the time of registration, parents are provided a direct notice detailing what specific data is collected and how it will be used before any youth account or profile is activated.
B. Information Collected from Children Under 13
When a parent registers a child for our leagues or camps, we limit the collection of personal data to only what is strictly necessary to run our programs. This includes:
Player Demographics: First and last name, age, and jersey size.
In-Game Identifiers: In-game usernames (gamertags) necessary to track player statistics, arrange tournament brackets, and manage secure league server access.
Note: We never condition a child's participation on disclosing more personal information than is reasonably required to participate in our competitive leagues and educational programs.
C. Third-Party Disclosures & Server Security
To provide safe online gaming arenas and manage structured coursework, child data is shared only with vetted third-party service providers (such as official league management platforms, secure learning management systems (LMS), and game server hosts) who have agreed to maintain identical standards of confidentiality and security.
We do not sell children's data or use it for targeted advertising.
We maintain a child-specific written information security program to safeguard this technical data.
D. Data Retention Policy
In compliance with federal guidelines, we do not retain a child's personal information indefinitely. Personal data collected for youth participants is retained only for the duration of the registered league season, camp cohort, or active membership. Once a participant finishes their active program or a parent requests account closure, all associated child data is securely deleted or anonymized within 90 days, unless a longer period is legally required for accounting or tax purposes.
E. Parental Rights
As a parent or guardian, you maintain complete control over your child’s data. You have the right to:
Review or request the deletion of the personal information we have collected from your child.
Refuse to permit further collection or use of your child's information.
Consent to our collection and internal use of your child’s data while explicitly prohibiting us from disclosing that data to third parties (unless strictly necessary to run the service).
To exercise any of these rights, please contact the Data Controller directly.
