XP LEAGUE NW SAN ANTONIO

BULLETIN BOARD
WHAT IS GOING ON AROUND THE ARENA...

March 29 2026

Dear XP League Families,

We are excited to announce that we will be transitioning our league communications from Remind to the Band app.

We are constantly looking for ways to improve the experience for our players and families. This switch is part of our commitment to providing a more organized, transparent, and streamlined environment for everyone.

Why are we moving to Band? The Band app offers several key benefits that Remind was not providing us:

Increased Transparency: Band allows for public boards and organized folders, ensuring that all league news, schedules, and updates are visible to everyone in one central location.

Better Information Sharing: Unlike the limited text format of Remind, Band allows us to share high-resolution photos, videos, documents, and polls, making it easier to keep you informed about your gamer's progress and upcoming events.

Eliminating Communication Silos: One of our main goals is to eliminate the need for disconnected text messaging threads. By moving to Band, all staff and families will be on the same platform. This ensures that everyone is reachable and that important information isn’t lost in private "silos."

All-in-One Calendar: You will be able to see the full league schedule and RSVP to events directly within the app.

The Transition Timeline:

April 15th: We will officially begin the switch. You will receive an invitation link via email and Remind to join our new XP League Band community. We encourage everyone to download the app and join the group during this time.

May 1st: We will officially decommission Remind. After this date, all league updates, coach communications, and scheduling information will be shared exclusively through the Band app.

We understand that changing platforms can take a moment to get used to, but we are confident that this move will significantly improve our ability to connect and support our gamers.

Keep an eye out for your invitation link on April 15th! If you have any questions regarding this transition, please feel free to reach out to us. Thank you!

Dear XP League Families,

First and foremost, thank you for your continued support and trust in our program. Your commitment to your players and our community is what allows us to do what we love, building a positive, competitive, and growth-focused esports environment for San Antonio’s youth.

As we continue to grow and further integrate with Valhallan, we’re excited to introduce a few important updates designed to improve the overall experience for our players and families.

Program Enhancements:
To create more flexibility and open up new opportunities, we will scale coaching sessions to one coaching session per week instead of two. This adjustment allows us to:

  • Participate in more dynamic Valhallan Esports League events
  • Provide increased opportunities for Pro+ and Elite members to compete in multiple titles
  • Create a more streamlined and impactful training experience for all XP League members

New Season Requirements: As we move into the new Summer Season, we are implementing a couple of important standards to ensure consistency and competitive integrity:

Consistent Gamertags: All players must use the same gamertag across their game accounts, the Valhallan bracket system, and Tracker.gg. This alignment is essential for accurate stats, rankings, and league play.
Updated Coaching Structure: The shift to one coaching day per week will be standard across teams.

Our 5 Pillars of Excellence:
As always, everything we do is grounded in our core values. We ask all players and families to continue supporting and reinforcing these pillars:

1 Being Positive (The "Yes, And" Mindset)
We lead with encouragement, clarity, and a growth mindset. We model emotional regulation and sportsmanship so every player feels empowered, no matter their skill level.

2 Professional (The Standard of Excellence)
We are punctual, prepared, and respectful. Clear and proactive communication helps us build trust with players, families, and teammates.

3 Inclusive (The Open Lobby Policy)
We are committed to creating a safe, welcoming environment for everyone. There is zero tolerance for harassment or discrimination, every gamer belongs here.

4 Nimble (Adaptive Excellence)
We stay flexible and solution-focused. Whether it’s a technical issue or a schedule change, we adapt quickly and keep things moving forward.

5 Committed (Ownership and Reliability)
We take pride in what we do. We show up, follow through, and hold ourselves accountable, because our players depend on it.

These updates are all part of our mission to continue growing a strong, positive esports culture while creating more opportunities for every player to thrive.

If you have any questions about these changes, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re excited about what’s ahead and grateful to have you with us on this journey.

Also we recognize that there have been some bugs with the transition to the new VHEL platform and website. To ease this transition, we have launched this local website that we control. We encourage feedback and ideas to make this useful to YOU.  Check back for regular updates!

Thank you again for being such an important part of the XP League family!
